Fear of the Number 666

This is arguably the classic example of why phobia questions should be used with caution.

Is this supposed to be a recognised medical term?

Even if it is a recognised medical condition, why would any member of the medical profession attempt to get his (or her) teeth round this monstrosity, when he (or she) could just say "fear of the number 666"?

Whoever set the question clearly had no concept of the difficulty that he or she was presenting to the poor question master (male or female) who had to read it out. No pronunciation aids whatsoever ...
